Dr. Houston's Initial Response To Parents As Provided on

Subject: I GUESS I'M DOING SOMETHING RIGHT...
You know, I don't have to make dietary supplements. I could easily find work
with a pharmaceutical or biotech firm, I'm sure my competitors wish I would. I
could go back to academic research, too.
But I have found that doing this work through HNI is the most rewarding thing I
have ever done, and utilizes everything I have been exposed to in the last 20
years. My grad work, my academic research, my tenure at National Enzyme, and
yes, even my faith, have all come into play here. Knowing how enzymes work, how
opiates work through receptors, how to do real research, and how it ties into
nutrition all come together to help children with autism.
Being able to work for myself, without compromising my principles (which one
sometimes must do when working for others), and hearing all the good things
about your children's improvements makes for a great work environment for me.
Most of you know, that if you call to order, I answer the phone and I try to
answer your questions as best I can (and you ask some tough ones!). This is
something that other companies can't or won't do. I try to keep my prices and
overhead low, as I understand the financial struggles many of you have. I
discount whenever asked. I have quite a list of unpaid orders, but I don't give
it much thought. If I won the lottery, I would give these products away!
Well, I had wondered when the other shoe would drop. I know I have been making a
dent in other's sales, and this is how they respond. Lenny at FEAT never
contacted me to get my take on Rimland's and Pangborn's articles, which really
goes against journalistic ethics.
Interesting that all this occurred on the same day that the Danielle Lin show is
airing a segment on enzymes and autism.
I will be spending the day writing a full and complete response to all this and
will post on my website.
Thanks for all the supportive emails and calls, it means a lot.

Re: Article by Autism Research Institute
See my previous posts, Mary. Suffice to say that Rimland's accusations and
recollections are flawed, and Pang's implications that No-Fenol is dangerous are
ridiculous. He is making assumptions concerning the formulation of No-Fenol
which are wrong.
Occurs to me that this may all be a way to make me reveal the complete
formulation of No-Fenol for others to copy, as there is no other enzyme product
out there that positions itself as helpful for phenolic problems.
I will be writing a rebuttal which I will post on my website and here.
